It is the day of celebrations, it is an evergreen moment for the team green, it is the game against arch rival India, it is Champions Trophy 2017 Final, it is Pakistan to lift the trophy eventually three years ago today.

Who could predict that it would be Pakistan to grab trophy in the end when just a year before the tournament Pakistan with No. 9 position in ICC ODI ranking could hardly be eligible for the CT17 but they jumped to 8th position and qualified for the Champions Trophy 2017 leaving Windies behind.
The team Green with the last position kicked off their tournament against their rival India and got defeated very badly. Cricket fans disappointed but the players did not. It was Pakistan's first and only defeat in the tournament.
Pakistan gained strength to win back to back matches against South Africa (by DLS method) , Srilanka and easily qualified for the semi final against England.
Though England could be tough in their home ground but Pakistanis got tougher and made the match one sided to play the Champions Trophy final against India at the Oval.
On June 18, 2017 two rivals came against each other once again and whole world was excited for Pakistan vs India final like ashes series, the spectators were enthusiastic from both sides.
The toss was in Pakistan's favor and the Green team scored 338-4, though India is best known for their batting line up but unfortunately they could not even score 200 and the whole team went back to the pavilion with 158 runs.
Thus, Pakistan won the Champions Trophy 2017 title by defeating India in the final.
It was a historical win and it proves that Pakistan team is very unexpected.
